Parental involvement is critical to helping students develop character in their lives. Due to the nature of the material, this component seeks to involve the parents of students. In a joint meeting with parents, students, and teachers, this component is launched in each school. During the meetings, parents are introduced to the Life at the CrossRoads curriculum and given an opportunity to hear first hand the Christian principles that are the heart of the curriculum.
Each lesson includes materials for the student to take home to discuss with their parents. This reinforces the lesson for the student and provides, for the parents, the information they need to help in the growth and development of their children.
At the end of the school year, parents are invited to the closing of the program when many of the students will give public evidence of their commitment to remain sexually abstinent until marriage.
