CrossRoads coordinators recently met with officials with the Ministry of Education in Kiev, the capital city in Ukraine, to explore the possibility of training the city’s teachers to present the CrossRoads curriculum.
The officials had reviewed the Life at the CrossRoads curriculum prior to their meeting and were very positive and welcoming. As a result of the meeting, the education administration is providing CrossRoads trainers with an auditorium at the Teacher’s House in the center of Kiev free of charge to conduct a Teacher Training, and has committed to sending 220 teachers to attend.
“This is an incredible opportunity,” says Rich Leary, a CrossRoads worker in Ukraine. “We are putting all of our time and energy into making this conference our best ever.”
